Apartment Review for Capitol Hiill - Little Rock, AR

We have lived here since the apartments opened almost 3 years ago so I have seen them go from decent to bad. We moved into a brand new one so it was nice when we got here.

Cons: The paint, it is very cheap and impossible to clean (the paint comes off). Noise - you can hear everything, so beware if you work nights or have babies. Also the walls are so thin if your next door neighbor smokes inside you can smell it in your place. Parking - huge problem, there are spaces in front of the walkways and even though the signs say not to park there everyone does. About one year ago the apartment complex went "HUD housing" and since then things have really gone down hill (increased noise, parking, people getting evicted after only 1-2 months, people driving fast in parking lot). Our dumpster is one big compactor and every month or so someone puts furniture that clogs it up. Swimming pool every year is like "spring break cancun", people drinking, smoking and playing loud music all hours, great if you are young and single I guess. The staff has turned over probably 3-4 times since we have been here and I haven't seen any improvement with the changes.

Pros - rent isn't too bad for the apartment you get, everything is only ~3 years old so it is still new. Secluded area. Nice nearby neighboorhoods. Is close to everything in West LR. We have had good luck with maintance, they seem to show up fast and get things done right. (haven't needed them much though).

Overall it was nice when we got here but now I would not recommend it to anyone. This is the 4th apartment complex I have lived in and is by far the worst now.
