Apartment Review
Mostly Good

Pros: Lots of sidewalks and there are always people outside walking for exercise and so forth.

The gate really did seem to help control the speed of traffic through the complex.

The grounds were very well kept and were well lit at night.

Great closet space. Nice large closets.

The bedrooms are the biggest bedrooms I have ever seen in an apartment.

Cons: I lived in Parham Pointe Apartments for a year and a half. When I signed my first lease with Parham Pointe I was offered the free month's rent along with an employer discount making my rent very reasonable. When I signed the 6 mos. lease the rent went up almost 100.00 and that was with the employer discount. When my lease came up this third time, I decided it was time to move, because the rent was going up yet AGAIN.

So basically, for the original rental price I felt like I was paying the appropiate amount, but at the current rental price I feel as though renters are paying too much for this particular apartment.

Yes, they offer covered parking, but that is an additional cost, most of the covered parking is not even close to the tenant's entrances. So when it is raining, you still have to run across the parking lot in the rain. Another strange thing about the covered parking is that they are not very structurely secure, u-hauls and moving vans constantly run into them and the one in front of my building was even knocked over, crushing the vehicles.

Then there is the security gate... At first the gate did make me feel safer, until about a month into my first lease I noticed that while yes there is a gate, but NO fence! So people park along the street and can simply walk into the complex. The gate was actually more bothersome than anything. There was always someone trying to use the touch-pad to call a tenant to let them in, which would back up the line traffic trying to get into the complex. Then heaven forbid you live anywhere near the entrance because I do not think they EVER lubricated the goofy gate - so I could always hear the ever present sound of the gate opening and closing all through the day and night.

For some reason I could never get Papa-Johns Pizza to deliver to Parham Pointe

The tenants living upstairs from me must have been the loudest walkers ever! I could never tell if it was just the fault of the construction or if they really did stomp back and forth when they walked around their apartment.

The balconies are really big, but are all sort of semi-private. My eight year old's pink scooter was actually stolen from our balcony, so it wasn't like you could really leave anything on your balcony.
